As Chief Executive Consultant, John Wooten is the Founder of ConsultED LLC, bringing the organization both its incipient vision and continuing ideation.  With over 25 Person-Years of business and ESI consulting experience within global technology providers and international law firms, Mr. Wooten has serviced the information architecture needs for various Fortune 500 corporations across the spectrum of the biotechnology, chemical, education, electric utility, electronics, health care, financial, Internet, legal, oil, pharmaceutical, technology and telecom industries.  His experience encompasses a wide array of information management support: detailed analysis for technical efficiency and effectiveness; project organization and technology implementation; database design, development and implementation; electronic information conversion, storage, retrieval and production adhering to federal (US) and international (EU) governmental agency compliance, and electronic discovery best practice methodologies throughout all phases of the EDRM/IDRM lifecycle.

A self-directed learner, John works diligently to position ConsultED as an involved force in advancing Internet business and culture.  Throughout his career, he has worked closely with colleagues and clients to explore new approaches in operational efficiencies and knowledge collaboration. Focusing on advancing technologies in building better business operability and efficiency for a new world of work, John has established a reputation for creativity and excellence in technology and its application toward global business requirements.  A vocal advocate of open government and data democratization, privacy, and Internet freedom, he engages national and international initiatives as activist, speaker and author.  John specializes in emerging technologies, viral networks, best-practice methodologies and is currently fascinated with semantic web technologies, rich Internet applications, service oriented architecture with people-as-platform, mobile, agile methodology, automation, predictive analytics, and identifying new trends.  Focus areas include information management (advanced search and navigation, information integration, engagement streams), Cloud-computing, electronic discovery, social software and networks, and mobile applications to enhance Internet search, business intelligence, e-commerce, productivity and collaboration. 

PERSONAL

John is a native North Carolinian, attending Chowan University and Wake Forest University to achieve B.A. degrees in Political Science, History and English. In his personal time, John extends his passions as a voracious reader of any "non-serial" literature, spending time within the closeness of his Family and outdoors exploration and adventures in sport fishing, surfing, cycling, hiking and camping in remote and exotic locations.  A love for all things water, John is an ardent supporter and participant in many environmental interest groups (American River Conservancy, Appalachian Trail Conservancy, The North Carolina Coastal & Wildlife Federations and The Southern Environmental Law Center).  Combining a love for history and an obsession with music, he has also spent several years building and maintaining an extensive web repository and historical accounting of North Carolina music and musicians (TarTunes).
